Thousands of people gathered in Dublin city centre streets on the 1st Saturday of July for the Rally for Life. The first inperson national pro-life March since 2019, the chief aim of the Rally was to urge the public - and the government - to Rethink Abortion. Organisers said that recent events in the U.S. and elsewhere, such as the overturning of Roe v Wade, have given fresh momentum to pro-life initiatives worldwide, and shown that culture and law can be changed for the better.

Guest speakers included -

· Dr Dermot Kearney – Irish cardiologist living in Britain, has helped save many babies from abortion by providing abortion pill reversal. Dr. Kearney won a significant victory this year for this live saving work when he beat a campaign to have him struck off for abortion reversal treatment, he provided to 65 women for free.

· Eden McCourt - Abortion Resistance, a youth led, youth focussed UK pro-life organisation, inspired to begin activism in her teenage years, after discovering her parents were put under pressure by medical professionals to abort her special needs sister, Josephine.

· Niamh Ui Bhriain - Life Institute

· Vicky Wall - Every Life Counts, support network for families who have received diagnosis that their child may not live long after birth.

· Bernadette Smyth - Precious Life, Northern Ireland based pro-life and crisis pregnancy support organisation.

· Natalia Isherwood - Pro-life campaigner, experienced a traumatic at-home abortion via the Pills by Post program in the UK.

· Carolyn Johnson – Gianna Care, Ireland’s biggest crisis pregnancy support organisation

· Mary Bridget Kelly – Disability and Prolife Campaigner
